Pathway To The Cure

Events / Publicity / Los Angeles

Ok. maybe you don’t have a machine to shoot confetti through your legs, or maybe that’s totally inappropriate! Charity events can still find a way to be fun. In fact, we find more money gets raised the higher the fun meter! (Where my McMillions HBO watchers…)

In starry Los Angeles, the stars literally have to align to make a great event go off without a hitch.  Luckily for us, Pathway Genomics, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the stars turned out to celebrate the great work both organizations do to fight cancer.  But there are loads of elements that go into making an event great, and even if you live in a city with less access to hollywood’s flashy guests, that doesn’t mean you can’t throw a party worthy of one or the press that they attract.

Alessandra Ambrosio showed up to help fight cancer, but great photos and a great online partner like Wire Image, Getty, or Patrick McMullen can make each special party guest look like a supermodel-or at least light them like one.  Guests who get to see themselves at their best with a beautiful professional image online are always going to come out and support-with their checkbooks, time and energy. Being part of a great charity event is more than just throwing an amazing party-it sets the tone for people to continue finding ways to support and keep the party going!  There are some costs to getting a photo service, and not every charity can afford to squeeze out even an extra 1500-it needs to be well-thought out and budgeted for sure.  But if your event can swing it, or you have a donor that wants to do something special to pitch in rather than just donating some funds, get them to sponsor a wire service and let them be a part of making sure very guest gets a great photo. In our-opinion, it is absolutely worth it.  Your images live on a site that comes up very high in any google search and it lives forever.  Hopefully, that’s a good thing.

Not too Busy for us…
